Winter load increases end and spring load restrictions start in North-Central frost zone on March 6, 2024 at 12:01am. All Windemere Township gravel roads will be restricted to 5 ton and asphalt roads to 7 ton.

The Windemere Township gravel pit located just south of the Moose Lake Airport will be open seven days a week from 9 AM to 5 PM for the sole purpose of Windemere Township landowners to bring brush and tree debris. Absolutely NO dumping of ANYTHING else!

Please be advised as of 2 PM on April 28,2023 Military Road South is open through Windemere Township. Road Maintenance crews will continue with repairs as conditions allow, so please drive with caution.

Windemere Township is fully aware of the poor conditions of our Township roads. We have had a historic winter in many regards. Recently we saw a rapid snow melt which has led to flooding and our curent conditions today. We have been advised by our road maintenance contractors that we should not grade our roads with the current weather conditions. If this was to happen, it would make our roads considerably worse than they are now. We understand the frustrations and we ask for continued patience. Please know with certainty as soon as conditions are favorable the roads will be maintained properly by professionals.
