Planning Commission Overview

The Windemere Township Planning Commission consists of five homestead residents, each appointed by the Board of Supervisors for a three-year term. The Commission is responsible for formulating the Township Comprehensive Plan, which serves as a guide for future development initiatives. Additionally, it examines the Township Zoning Ordinance to ensure the protection and enhancement of public health, safety, and welfare within the community. The Planning Commission also reviews and approves various land use development applications, including conditional and interim use permits as well as zoning map amendments.
